Field Types

Fields are grouped into various types:

  • Input - These are fields that require some kind of input from the user. This could be text, numeric or the insertion of a file or image.
  • Output - These are fields that are for display only, usually to contain a header, logo or helpful information about the form.
  • Dropdown - Dropdowns are an automatically populated list of values that the user can select from. These could be based on reference data held within FinanSys Apps or data extracted from an external source.
  • Calculation - Calculation fields are populated by formulas and can include text and numbers with various calculations being performed upon them.
